Christophe’s comment: The spirit of the Dump reminds of Thierry Kuntzel’s notebooks, published by Anarchives, Title TK of Anne-Marie Duguet.
It is true that I made myself the remark – discovering these notebooks that are quite fascinating of lucidity – that it was unfortunate that all the concepts, reflexions, that nicely clutter daily paths, had left no traces. Keep the trace, at least for me. In fact, I trust the creativity catalyser of forgetness too often. As shortsightedness, that forces to invent lacking information (in the blur on vision), neglectness forces to rebuild new bricks in deficient memory architecture. Short sightedened and short of memory, I accrue privileges…
Would Thierry have used a blog instead of his notebook, if technology had permitted it at the time?

Inside the the box the Watch Out thing : in front of each….
The other box, 1m tall x 1.5m x 1.5 the hole is on the top

(wallpaper) october 20th, 2006
Christophe Leclercq reminded me of a project from last year. More like decoration. Creating wallpaper sensibly modernising our environment.
The “palais de tokyo†wallpaper for example: A wall of graffiti, such realistic that it seems to be present. Sold in rolls to cover large surfaces.
Imagine a bourgeois ‘flat, with Voltaire armchairs, Louis XV console table, in a room where the walls are covered with “wasteland†way wallpaper. And what a gorgeous feeling of modernity emerges in the mind of the visitors in front the bold decoration, without concessions… Behind the wallpaper, of course, still the neatly conserved panelling.

I remained in dissatisfaction, facing the accumulation of projects, knowing that probably some of them would evolve in the usual process, until their realisation…others luckily, by neglect or forgetting, would sink in the depths of the website. This same principle of depot, without any idea sort out, in ranges starting from the most complex to the most indigent, imposes, because of the amount, either to leave time sort out (the ancient articles are certainly the less read), or to introduce the empirical filtrating process for further recycling.
Giving the choice to visitors to grade the projects upon their will, as in the usual blog process implies ones find easily their way through in what we share of medium motivation. The inconvenient would be to think art is democratic, that it can satisfy the consensus, be revelled by audimat. Nevertheless, I have always tested my projects by telling about them, even before any drawing or words had been put down.
So, at least, here, it is the compost more than the vox populi that disintegrates. In this purgatory of ideas, some of them would resist with use, to the dissolution in forgetness of the inferior stratum of the Dump. The Dump, where there would always be curious and volunteer minds to mottle, in the quest for what would have escaped from collective vigilance.
I therefore can consider the projects of the inferior layers would be abandoned to passers by and lingering on projects could develop themselves on the basis of this conceptual dunghill.
Each visitor would have the possibility to click:
- Deep-Dump
- Wait and see
- Keep it
- Should be done
Entering the blog, one could see horizontal lines, stratums, corresponding to the projects. The organisation is not done by chronology anymore, but by reaction classification. The inferior layers are the deep-Dump. Everything is available. Nevertheless, left possible to either pick in it or deliver:

- Forget it
- Think about it

When one leaves a bathroom after a good hot shower, condensation appearing on the mirror at the opening of the door betrays highlights and the difference of temperature of the wall upon which it is hanged.
Public toilet device:
A discrete video camera captures our image whilst we are watching ourselves in the mirror. Our image/silhouette is seized and some water steam appears on the mirror. Our silhouette appears in reserve as if the mirror had kept something of the visit. Behind the mirror, a del screen locally modifies the temperature according to the video image. The mirror can be slightly refrigerated (scrod device of refrigerator). A water steam sprayer, of the type of those associated to fanes reconstitutes the difference of temperature or humidity of air. Condensation will agglomerate on cold areas of the mirror.

Protect one’s image-copyright-or one’s image-ID-seems for lots of people to be a key issue. One has to satisfy their claim.
Protect your image is a screen facing the spectator where he can see himself captured. The picture is scanned during the spectator’s presence and is immediately translated in encoded scanned information according to the barcode norms.
They are two possibilities:
1-It is the document’s values of that are translated, with a necessarily low resolution, in an equivalent bar code.
2-It is the RGB values, on 256 levels, that are translated in an equivalent bar code.
Nothing more to worry about!

On stage, the actors. They appear backlit Ted, silhouetted. The back of the stage is a screen an hanging above, are long like, elastic shapes of which the motion reminds the one of snakes. Amongst the auditors, some handle small devices (cellar phones, PDA). The latter know the image on the screen is the one filmed by the video cameras, the snakes’ eyes. The devices film on request of the actors, sometimes in close-up, on their lightened side. Based in the controls set, the cutting off is made according to the shots, guided by an audience that want to see more and more, closer. The succedance of images are real-time mixed.
Amongst the actors, video (snakes) constitute a scopic permanent thrill, testifying their over exposition, creating a proximity unfound in theatre. Their video-sights denunciate, at the same time, the anxiousness of being seen, the fear of being ignored, the to eye contact with the audience.
The paradox is also issued, at this time they share the space of the room, and the spectators can find themselves watching the actors on screen although they can see them on stage, partially hidden by their silhouette in action.

The difference between the concept artist and the conceptual artist is that the former does not need to create the artistic projects he designs. The work is the concept, even if it concerns the creation of an object, a material structure or concrete production.
The concept artist produces concepts, catalogues of possible works. It is the absolute virtual production of the work, which might never exist, except in the minds of those who hear about it.

Video extracts of pornographic films projected non-stop. The software gives infinite possibilities of a graphic interpretation of what is supposed to be an instant of ecstatic pleasure.
