Christophe Leclercq reminded me of a project from last year. More like decoration. Creating wallpaper sensibly modernising our environment.
The “palais de tokyo†wallpaper for example: A wall of graffiti, such realistic that it seems to be present. Sold in rolls to cover large surfaces.
Imagine a bourgeois ‘flat, with Voltaire armchairs, Louis XV console table, in a room where the walls are covered with “wasteland†way wallpaper. And what a gorgeous feeling of modernity emerges in the mind of the visitors in front the bold decoration, without concessions… Behind the wallpaper, of course, still the neatly conserved panelling.
